Born in the United States, James Dick was raised in Canada, returning to the US and joining the United States Coast Guard. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard for seven years before an injury led to his separation from the service. During his service, he worked in a law enforcement capacity for five of those years. He received the Coast Guard Meritorious Service Medal and two Coast Guard Commandant’s Letters of Commendation during this period of service.
James Dick originally returned to the United States because of his belief that America is truly the land of opportunity, where citizens have more freedoms than in any other country. Having relatives who have immigrated from around the globe, he understands the desire to become a U.S. citizen and has experience helping people navigate U.S. immigration laws to live here, sponsor family members who would like to live here, and gain citizenship.
After his discharge from the military, James opened three businesses while furthering his education to gain added skills and knowledge that would allow him to better help others. This led him to law school.
James Dick’s experience in the military, owning franchise and non-franchise businesses, and having dual citizenship has afforded him a unique and in-depth understanding of immigration law, criminal defense, and business legal issues, along with typical case resolution outcomes and best practices.
